Parkwood Seniors Centre Without Walls – Grant Awarded
Due to the isolation restrictions of COVID, Parkwood has been awarded a grant from Seniors Centre Without Walls. We are grateful to the Government of Ontario and the Ontario Adult Centres Association of Ontario for all their support. During Covid, Parkwood continues to promote activities and support for our Residents, Wellness Members, Existing Families, Senior Volunteers, Essential Caregivers and all those that are older adults and seniors in our community that may be isolated at this time. Seniors’ Centre Without Walls (SCWW) telephone-based model will allow us to connect with you and offer programs that you find interesting over your telephone. If you have technology at home then you have the choice to participate virtually or via the telephone. The goal is to increase your companionship, foster a positive mental health, and keep you engaged as we get through Covid together! There is no cost to participate to you and you do not have to be living at Parkwood to enjoy these services. This program is aimed at our 55+ Senior Adults!
We have a Participant Intake Questionnaire that we would like to complete with you over the telephone. We would be happy to call you to gather your input and to match you to a program we currently offer (Bingo, Hymn Sing, group discussions, exercises) and to create new ones.
Please give Laura Gorman, Project Manager or Joanne Gentile, Volunteer Coordinator a call at 519 747 2151 ext 335 and we will be pleased to gather your feedback and match you with a program today!
In addition, we do have a link to our survey online for those of you that would prefer to complete it online and then follow up with us to discuss your interest over the telephone.

Many thanks and look forward to engaging together soon!
