We have been incredibly blessed as an organization this year by friends and supporters who have responded to our fundraising efforts, our anniversary celebrations and milestone events for Fairview and Parkwood.
As we near the end of Fairview’s 80th anniversary and Parkwood’s 60th anniversary, we have, as a community, contributed to the legacy of kindness that marks our history.
We honoured retirees, were recognized as one of ‘Canada’s most admired corporate cultures’ by Waterstone, expanded our ‘Walk the Kindness Way’ event to four days to honour our anniversaries, raised the topping off beam for the Delphine and Lloyd Martin Apartments, held a Gala Anniversary Celebration, and broke ground on our Long-Term Care Home Expansion at Fairview. We also entered a ‘Shared Services’ agreement with Craigwiel Gardens in Ailsa Craig.
The icing on our cake was earning ‘Exemplary’ status from Accreditation Canada!
We are especially thankful that your support is about to improve the lives of seniors who will soon be welcomed to our campus when the doors to the Delphine and Lloyd Martin Apartments open in March 2024. We appreciate every donation that has made this a reality. We now have $183,000 to raise to complete our $7.5 million fundraising campaign.
As you consider your year-end donations, we hope you will include us and help get us over the top. Every gift, no matter the size, will help us provide affordable housing for seniors for the next 50 years.
On a personal note, I want to say how much your support, guidance and friendship has meant to me as well as Fairview Parkwood Communities. I hope your kindness comes back to you and your loved ones as we celebrate the coming holidays and new year.
