Our 42 km walk on Friday September 12th and Saturday September 13th is quickly approaching! We are looking forward to seeing you on the trail and would like to provide some additional information.
New information:
If you require transportation to the starting point, please use these forms and select the time you would like to board the bus:

Your bus departure will be confirmed via email.
Other important pieces of information:
When on the trail we will have blue trail tape to help guide you. A photo of the trail tape is attached to this email.
Drinks/snacks are available approximately every 5km as indicated on the trail map, and washrooms/portapottys are approximately every 10km.
Feeling ill?
If you are feeling unwell, for the health and safety of the other walkers, please send me an email and do not participate.
Help on the trail
If you have a serious emergency on the trail, call 911. If you have a minor concern such as requiring basic first aid or need to leave the trail, please contact the below individuals based on the day that you walk. If you leave the trail at any point, please notify these individuals, that way we can track all walkers to ensure that everyone is safe.

Friday September 12:
Walk from Parkwood to Grandview Church (23km)

Where to meet if you are not taking the bus: Parkwood Seniors Community (726 New Hampshire St, Waterloo)
Where to meet if you are taking the bus: Meet at Grandview Church (250 Old Chicopee Dr, Kitchener, ON N2A 4J2). Please ensure you sign up for a spot on the bus.
When to meet: The bus will be leaving Grandview Church at 8:30 a.m. to go to Parkwood. The walk will begin at 10am from Parkwood. Please leave yourself enough time to ensure you are not late for the bus departure as we are unable to delay the timing.
If you are walking the 10 km option:
- Bus transportation from Bingemans to Parkwood is provided at 9:15 a.m.
- Park at Bingemans (425 Bingemans Centre Dr, Kitchener, ON N2B 3X7) to get on the bus
Saturday September 13:
Walk from Grandview Church (Chicopee area) to Fairview 19kms

Where to meet if you are not taking the bus: At Grandview Church (250 Old Chicopee Dr, Kitchener, ON N2A 4J2)
Where to meet if you are taking the bus: Meet at Fairview (515 Langs Dr Cambridge)
When to meet: The bus will be leaving Fairview at 8:15 a.m. to go to Grandview Church. Please leave yourself enough time to ensure you are not late for the bus departure. The walk will begin at 9am in the Grandview Church parking lot.
If you are walking the 10 km option:
- Bus transportation from Fairview to Pioneer Tower will be provided at 9:45 a.m. **please note this bus will arrive at the end point 1 hour before the other walkers, if you would prefer to end with all walkers please select the 10:45 option.
- Park at Fairview to get on the bus
- You will begin when you arrive at Pioneer Tower, and end at Fairview for a celebration
What to bring
It is important that you bring a day pack containing the following:
- Sunscreen
- Rain gear (we have rain ponchos available for all walkers if needed)
- Bug spray
- Extra pair of socks
- Band aids
- Chapstick
- Pain killers
- A bottle of water
